Through the meeting of different cultures and traditions, new
and original developments in music emerge. Rapid
developments in technology and its use by young people in Britain's
culturally diverse population is giving rise to some of the most exciting of these
developments.
Against this background, On the Edge brings together professional musicians from a
variety of traditions with young people from Hertfordshire in the South East of
England in a unique interactive project to explore and innovate.
On the Edge is supported by Dacorum Borough Council, East Herts
District Council, North Herts District Council, St Albans City & District Council,
Hertfordshire
County Council, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Eastern Orchestral Board
and the National Lottery through the Arts Council of England.
