EDITED HIGHLIGHTS FROM WORKSHOPS
workshop2
WORKSHOP 2 presented a real challenge for everyone concerned. With three kitdrummers, five electric guitars and a few orchestral instruments, what was goingto be the musical outcome?

As Tunde himself said, the result was an exciting synthesis of styles and genresthat exemplified what On The Edge is all about. Take a look and listen foryourself below.

Here are some of the participants' comments:

Gareth Tyler
Gareth Tyler, 15, Drummer:

"I thought it was going to be be a bit mad at first, 'cause there were threedifferent drummers...
...and I thought it was going to go really badly but it didn't."
David
David, 16, Guitarist:

"I thought it was going to be boring playing with orchestral instruments, but it'sbeen different. It was more like jazz which is my kind of music.
...I could actually do one of these five times a year. It's really helpful."
Tony
Tony, 15, Guitarist:

"The best bit for me was to play with a range of different instruments like thedouble bass and the cello and the trombone. I just think it's been challenge."
Heather
Heather, 17, Flute & Saxophone:

"At the beginning it was nerve wracking because I've never really done anythinglike this on the flute before. I've been classically trained and I'm not used to improvising just like that on thespot, but you get a feeling for the music and gain in confidence because everyone else is so confidentthat you just improve."
